On Friday 22 March the industry hoisted the sails for good at the UnLtd: Big Splash regatta, generating over $60K to help children at risk.
The second Big Splash event saw ten highly competitive teams race head to head across Sydney Harbour on Elliott boats whilst generating much needed funds for UnLtd’s charity partners working to break the cycle of youth disadvantage.
The fifth annual Big Clash has been the biggest yet with over 70 companies taking part and raising over $135,000 to help children at risk.
The event is a regular fixture in the industry’s calendar, uniting the industry for a great afternoon of cricket, drinks, music and auctions. This year, the event also featured the inaugural Lady Ballers match that saw Agencies taking home the trophy in Sydney and the Media Owners getting their revenge in Melbourne at the last ball.
The Men’s Game in Sydney saw Team Tech narrowly beat Team Media Agencies by five runs whereas in Melbourne it was Media Owners that beat Media Agencies by 45 runs in the final.

This year, in an effort to put NGENers in the place of someone who is hearing impaired, the teams that competed for second place had to play a silent dodgeball challenge match. Players were given headphones and earplugs, while the crowd watched on in complete silence, to simulate the experience of playing dodgeball with hearing impediments.

This placed the Adland Gang as the highest earning group of the event with the highest average raised per inmate.
