Media agency Initiative’s support for the annual Sweetheart’s Day campaign has seen donations to the charity more than double.
The national awareness day for HeartKids encourages people to pledge what they would otherwise spend on a Valentine’s Day gift – raising vital funds for kids with childhood heart disease and medical research to find a cure.

Seven hundred GroupM employees across nine agency offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, stopped work for their annual ‘Power of One’ day last Friday – to spend time giving back and raising funds for UnLtd charities.
The agency network came together to generate over $140,000 in value – all in one day.

Rival media owners and agency heads will put the media game aside next week, when they take to the field for the return of the “The Big Clash” – a special 20/20 charity cricket match for UnLtd.
While they’re usually going in to bat against each other over clients and campaigns, agencies will unite for the day against a team of combined media
owners at Sydney Uni Oval next Thursday 25 February.

Ipsos, the market research company responsible for the emma (Enhanced Media Metrics Australia) cross-platform audience survey, has joined forces with UnLtd to create a new campaign competition. emma Strategic Thinker is targeted at delivering tangible business benefits to UnLtd’s charity partners.

Winners of this year’s MFA Awards NGEN category, UM’s Declan Peach and Jacqueline Osborne, have handed over a cheque that will see their winning campaign idea be brought to life in 2016.
All entry fees from the NGEN category were this year donated by the MFA to UnLtd’s charity partner, The Mirabel Foundation. Mirabel assists children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to their parents’ illegal drug abuse issues.
The brief for NGENers was to increase individual donations to the Mirabel Foundation by $1 million, and in the process, educate the Australian public on the issue of children affected by drug addiction and overdose.

UnLtd’s foundation charity partner, Musicians Making a Difference (MMAD), and Universal Music Australia (UMA) have today launched a nationwide campaign designed to inspire young people to never give up hope.
#MMAD4U asks people to use the hasthag and post an image of themselves via social media, to anyone they know who is feeling down or lost, and needs to know that someone is out there that is ‘mad for them’.

An UnLtd-funded video has seen the creation of a unique approach to legal education for young people in remote indigenous communities.
A group of teenagers, from the top end to the desert, wrote and performed the song “know your rights” which has an important message about respect, and promoting healthy interactions between youth and the law.
