Winners of this year’s MFA Awards NGEN category, UM’s Declan Peach and Jacqueline Osborne, have handed over a cheque that will see their winning campaign idea be brought to life in 2016.
All entry fees from the NGEN category were this year donated by the MFA to UnLtd’s charity partner, The Mirabel Foundation. Mirabel assists children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to their parents’ illegal drug abuse issues.
The brief for NGENers was to increase individual donations to the Mirabel Foundation by $1 million, and in the process, educate the Australian public on the issue of children affected by drug addiction and overdose.

UnLtd has today announced the appointment of additional board members and a 50% uplift in industry awareness, according to the latest Media i survey.
Following a board meeting yesterday, these individuals have been appointed as directors, to lead the philanthropic foundation’s next phase of industry engagement, revenue growth and supporting social entrepreneurship across the industry:

UnLtd’s foundation charity partner, Musicians Making a Difference (MMAD), and Universal Music Australia (UMA) have today launched a nationwide campaign designed to inspire young people to never give up hope.
#MMAD4U asks people to use the hasthag and post an image of themselves via social media, to anyone they know who is feeling down or lost, and needs to know that someone is out there that is ‘mad for them’.

An UnLtd-funded video has seen the creation of a unique approach to legal education for young people in remote indigenous communities.
A group of teenagers, from the top end to the desert, wrote and performed the song “know your rights” which has an important message about respect, and promoting healthy interactions between youth and the law.

We are today celebrating our most impactful year yet, announcing a 165% increase in the media, marketing and advertising industry’s collective impact across FY15.
Our philanthropic foundation – which is dedicated to undoing youth disadvantage in Australia – showcased the social impact our sector is having at an event this morning, thanking UnLtd sponsors and industry professionals who have contributed both time and resources.

UnLtd has announced the appointment of Steve Taitoko as its first CEO, to lead the foundation’s next phase of social entrepreneurship, revenue growth and cause based innovation across the industry.
Steve brings 20 years of local and international commercial and business strategy experience to the UnLtd movement.

Network Ten’s workplace giving program TEN Gives has donated more than $1 million in cash and value to UnLtd charities in its first year.
In addition to regular staff payroll donations and a number of significant fundraising activities, Network Ten’s substantial contribution to the youth not-for-profit sector over the past 12 months has seen employees generously giving their time, skills, expertise and resources.

The NGEN community has come together across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this month to raise an astounding $28,000 for UnLtd’s charity partners. Three major events including; a dodgeball competition in Sydney, an indoor games tournament in Melbourne and record MFA award NGEN category entries have contributed to this tally.
